Hey guys, if your credit card companies are anything like mine, you probably get charged higher-interest cash advance charges when you try to fund your offshore books with them....
But if any of you guys have a credit card with USAA Bank (a pretty large banking/credit card company in the U.S.)....they do NOT consider a western union payment as a "cash advance"
Here's a thing I do each month to make a little free cash...I send $10,000 each month to one of my books ($10,000 is the maximum amount you can send thru Western Union in any given 30 day period). It only takes a few minutes to send the transaction over the phone, easy stuff...
And USAA gives me "total rewards" points for every dollar spent on my card. So each month I get 10,000 points! The way the program works is, for every 20,000 points, the customer gets $200 cash back to their account. Basically, I get a free $200 every 2 months, just for funding my books with Western Union using my USAA credit card.
Anyway, I then use my one free withdrawal per month to send the whole $10,00 back to Neteller, and then back to my USAA checking account. Then I just pay off my credit card balance in full! Easy as hell, and doesn't cost a thing. (Obviously, all Western Union fees are paid for by the sportsbook I use)
I know everyone is in love with Neteller, and usually so am I. But if you do your homework, there are quite a few ways to make a little extra cash on the side by using alternate methods to fund your accounts.
Also, I use a similar technique with another one of my books. I use my MBNA credit card (another large credit card company here in the states) to send $3,000 each month to them (this particular book only allows $3,000 max. per month in credit card deposits)....
And this particular MBNA credit card gives me frequent flyer miles for each dollar spent. After every 6 months or so of doing this, I've racked up 18,000 frequent flyer miles and just earned a free round-trip flight anywhere I want!
I do the same thing with that book too. I use my free monthly withdrawal to send the $3,000 back to my Neteller account and then to my checking account. I then pay off the credit card balance in full before any monthly interest is charged. All free!
I'm sure some of you guys out there probably have similar programs with your credit card companies that you can "scam", er, I mean, take advantage of
